London-based research, comms and policy. These days my main professional interests are in AI governance and internet infrastructure.

I’ve done a whole load of campaigning work in the past (2010-2025), primarily on freedom of expression issues, encompassing whistleblowing, extradition and hacktivism. Some of this was done at the Courage Foundation and at Blueprint for Free Speech.

I have written about a lot of this stuff in various places. I’m not particularly looking for new projects at present, but if there’s anything you’d like to speak to me about, feel free to get in touch.

Otherwise, I play recorders and saxophones and I’m a beginner lutenist. Fingers crossed I’ll be performing again in 2027; it’s been a while.
